Customer ordered $7000 of clothing, requested exchange for ill-fitting shoes, sent to wrong address due to old packing slip, no resolution from politix.
I ordered over $7000 of clothing for my groom's party. A pair of shoes did not fit so I used the packing slip provided to request an exchange at my own expense. I followed up after 4 weeks of the parcel being delivered back to Politix as I had received no notification. When contacting Politix's customer care team they advised I had sent it to the wrong address. The address I sent it to was the address included on the packing slip. The customer consultant advised this was an old packing slip and that I would need to follow up with Australia Post. I queried why Politix including old, incorrect packing slips in their orders was my issue as I had followed the correct process. I have not received a resolution, only them advising there is nothing they can do.

Customer spent $1440 in store but did not receive the $150 discount. store argued it was customer's fault for not asking for the discount.
There was a promotion in store at the city central store, near mid city Sydney. The promotion was spend over $1000 and you get $150 off for full priced items. We spent $1440 in store and I asked the sales person if there were any discounts in store today on the products we were purchasing. She then pointed at the sign and said that was available. I then said ok, then proceeded to grab my wallet to check out. Mind you, I had a baby and a young child with me who were crying for my attention, and I was trying to pay. They charged me the whole amount and did not discount $150. I realised 2 hrs later and asked them why they didn’t give me the discount and they said they notified me of the promotion but because I didn’t accept the promotion and ask them to proceed to remove the $150, they didn’t do it for me. They said it wasn’t the company’s policy to give us the discount and they were not allowed to give us the discount if we didn’t ask/accept the promotion. They never asked me if I wanted the discount at all. I just assumed they put it on automatically. They then made it extremely difficult to provide the discount because I said I already dropped my suits off at the tailor and they said they needed to refund the suits first and needed the whole product, then would sell it back to us and couldn’t give me the discount unless I had the items with me. After explaining I had them at the tailors already, they then proceeded to reluctantly process the refund, but said it was still my fault for not asking them to put the discount on as if I should’ve known this. Then they said they couldn’t do cash refunds when we paid in cash, and it had to be on card. But when their eftpos machine didn’t register the refund, they then gave us the refund in cash anyway which didn’t make sense to me then. Mind you, this whole time I was in the store and while they were processing the discount - not a single person paid foot in the store. It was very quiet so it wasn’t even the excuse that they were busy to have been rude and unhelpful. Every step was frustrating, unprofessional and they were arguing with me that it was my fault for not asking them to provide me the discounted promotion. Never have I ever experienced such unprofessional and unhelpful customer service from politix before and I was utterly disgusted. We’ve only ever had the best service and felt the pride in customer service and helpfulness from politix stores before but today will make us reconsider whether it’s worth our time and money in future.
