Customer seeks refund, credit card settlement, and apology from michael hill after issues with ring purchase, incorrect size, scratches, and lack of assistance.
This was about I purchased in Michael Hill Chinook Calgary ring diamond. At first I was denied in first lending who will supposed to finances me because the sales representative wants to sell something for a costumer like me. And the sales representative also ask me if one of my family could have able a good credit so I can use my sons name for sure approval in credit card so I can purchase an Item to Michael hill. And I tell him not to do that because I don’t want someone to used their credibility just to pursue the ring. And then the sales representative make a way to find lending company to approved in my name. And so the Michael hill credit card approved me. And the sales representative find ring for me which is not my real size. And ask him that I want my size and there’s no available size so he insist me to have the ring for resize and have it whithin a month. I just need to come back for pick up. . And so after a month I came back to the store to get the ring. The salesman is not there in the store at time so someone assist me. They give me the ring without checking it if it’s fits me and etc. when I get home I immediately check the ring in my finger but it’s not fit me so much a little bit tighter. And I got my glasses to check the diamond and the gold and I notice that there’s some scratches too. So I call them immediately about it and after 2 days I bring the ring in the store. I feel upset because it’s take 2 hrs to travel and those things happen. I ask them that I can just returned the ring because I did not meet my needs as a customer and it’s there fault because they did not follow my finger size and secondly so much scratches . They insist that they can not accept the ring for returned all they can do is rezise again for another 1 month. I don’t feel good that way because they already have credit my amount of payment in the card for 1month since they charge me and it’s already a month that they have the ring. And again 1 more another month to resized again. When I got home the next day I sent them the documents of the ring with them it’s just more than 30 days so I have the right to returned the ring and besides I never had in my possession and never used. It’s there fault they did not follow my sized and so much much scratched. So I have the right as a customer to retired the item. But till now they did not make a way to settle my card that they have the ring and they should settle my credit card not to charged. No one is helping me either the card Michael hill company. I call them many time and they just tell me they can’t do anything. Even the store they insist me to have the ring which is not my fault . I’ve been sick for this now the credit card Michael Jill charge me so much interest. I never had the ring in my possession .

Customer is unhappy with unclear communication of lifetime diamond warranty policy, quality of product, and threatens to not return as a customer.
While I understand the importance of adhering to the lifetime diamond warranty timeframes, I am still quite concerned. The policy was not communicated clearly to me at the time of purchase, and I believe this has led to the current situation. I have visited your store three times for different purchases, and upon checking with one of my colleagues who is also a customer, they mentioned not being aware of this condition either. Given the circumstances, I would appreciate a further review of my case to see if any accommodation can be made. Can you provide more details on what this strategy entails and how it affects the lifetime diamond warranty as diamond didn't even last for two year ring wasn't rigid enough to hold dimond for 1 year 6 month. Quality vs pricing does satisfy the value of the reknowned brand. This situation is quite disappointing, and I want to ensure this doesn't happen to other customers. If this matter is not satisfactorily resolved, I can assure you that I will not return as a customer and will advise those around me to do the same.

Customer disappointed with michael hill staff for not allowing refund or exchange on earrings, seeking resolution and apology.
Location: Shop 337, Westfield, 111 W Lakes Blvd, West Lakes SA 5021 I’m really disappointed the way deal with me. Being Micheal hill member I have always recommend many friends and family but this time I felt like I been robbed. I went to buy a gift for my girlfriend then I did choose two thing it was gold bracelet and gold earrings i was slightly in two mind whether my girlfriend will like it or not so I repeated ask her staff if my girlfriend didn’t like it can return it or do refund. Staff she was like yah yah we can do both. Then I brought both but my girlfriend didn’t like the earrings so I went to return that but I was told they can’t do refund or even exchange the earrings. At least they could have mention even one time they cannot do refund or exchange on earrings I could have buy something else. They ruined the birthday really disappointed. I hope i will get any help from this.

Customer is complaining about a silver chain with initial n that broke after 2 months and wants a free replacement.
I got a silver chain with initial N just 2 months ago as my Xmas present, and the Chain knotted up I broke it trying to get the knot out gently, regardless of the price of the chain and charm it shouldn’t of broken. I am extremely angry and want a new chain sent back to me for free, I refuse to buy another one from Micheal hill, I’ll never ever shop from them again.

Customer purchased a ring but the saleswoman printed the receipt with an incorrect name. saleswoman was rude and unhelpful when customer requested a corrected receipt.
I purchased a Men ' Ring ( Platinum Ring with Diamonds ) for 1898.20 AUD on 06.01.2024 at 11.43am in Albury Wodonga MHJ Shop 19 Myer Centrepoint 3/ 525 David Street Albury NSW2640. ( Receipt : 028710128168 Terminal : 028710 ) I was served by Sales lady Carolyn. When I came home and checked the receipt I found out my name was printed incorrectly although I have written my name very clearly for her to print the receipt and warranty card. I went back to the store again and there was another lady ( she was slender and tall - not sure what her name was ) came to me telling Carolyn is on her lunch and inquired me what the issue was. When I explained that my name is incoorectly printed -she told that she cannot do anything now as it has already gone through the computer system. I told her it was not my mistake but yours and demanded to print a fresh receipt with correct name on it. Then she tried to correct the name on the papers manually. I told that I cannot accept manually tampered / doctored / altered document because as I travel oversees often and sometimes at the customs receipts of jewelly are checked in some countries and I may get in to troubles when I produce manually altered documents. Then she became very angry and rushed to another lady to get her advice and asked me to write my name on a paper in very rude way. I told her this type of customer service of your is extremely unacceptable - after doing a mistake from yourside. She even did not want to appologize but treated me as if the customer is a hazzle to her. I want to tell you that although I really liked the ring I am extremely dissapointed of your customer service. When thousand dollar businesses are done customers are looked after extremely well - talked to them politely and cuateously - handled them with respect. But this saleswoman's behaviour was extremely disgusting. Due to this bad experience I may not recommend anybody to this store of yours. Customer upset at michael hill jeweller in burwood for poor service, denied diamond check, long wait for manager.
Went to michael hill jeweller in Westfield burwood . Dealt with a person who does not have customer service who immediately told me that I cannot do the diamond check as it has been more than I year. I purchased 20k worth of diamonds and the warranty package! When then said i have to wait for 30 mins as she needs to check with her manager who was at lunch! The manager was there at the back. Customer seeks apology from michael hill for extremely rude staff behavior at liverpool store, feeling humiliated and seeking prevention of future incidents.
Extremely rude staff, very diminishing and devaluing communication with me at the Liverpool Westfields on Thursday 23 May, 2024 at approximately 7 pm.<br />I approached her on the desk and asked if they have children chains. Immediately she saw my face with a very angry look, awful facial and arms gestures and quickly started walking away from me mumbling and directing her mumbling to the other staff member on the desk. I was left there feeling very humiliated.<br />The other staff - a very young lady with long hair, very kind immediately said to me that they did not have the chains I was looking for and kindly directed me to a different <br />jewellery store.<br />I have bought jewelry form Liverpool store a few times and never been humiliated by a staff. I have never seen this extremely rude woman before. <br />She has no right to treat me the way she did.<br />It is very upsetting. <br />I am hoping that something is done to prevent further humiliation of customers.<br /><br />Your attention to this matter is well appreciated.

Customer seeks refund for faulty hoop earrings from michael hill, disappointed with manager's response denying replacement.
I went to Micheal Hill, Wollongong Central, on Sunday with my 7 year old daughter to purchase her first pair of hoop earrings. When we arrived home I carefully opened the earrings but one of the hoops (sleepers) pulled apart on both sides. So I headed back in to store on my next day off (today) and asked if it was possible for a replacement or refund due to the product having a fault. I spoke to the lovely lady who served me on Sunday who said she would speak to the manager. The manager inspected the earring and bluntly stated that there was nothing she was going to do as it had been pulled too hard, which was definitely not the case. I was so surprised as I have shopped at Micheal Hill many times and had intentionally taken my daughter there for her first set of earrings knowing that the quality and service was excellent in the past. I was hoping that I could have some feedback and a refund as I was disappointed with the managers response.

Customer upset about diamond falling out during cleaning at michael hill, unhappy with manager's attitude, seeking resolution and apology.
I went today on 29 June 2024 at Chadstone to get my ring cleaned as I have a lifetime warranty. I purchased my ring at Michael hill jewellers in Chadstone in 2017. I came back for my ring only to be told by the store manager, Nairi I think his name was. That one of the diamonds have fallen out and must of been loose when cleaned with the sonic cleaner. I said 7 years and no issue and now in your care this happens. He advised me it was it was loose. Nairi’s manner was terrible, seemed annoyed with me as a customer and spoke to me in a condescending tone. The girl who cleaned and the diamond fell with her and she said she’s glad she found it and put it in the bag so it came be sent off to try and put it back it was great and remorseful for her part I felt how bad she felt and I could sympathise for her but Nauri showed no compassion, annoyed, ready to serve another customer, ready to make profit. Made me feel rather small. <br />I am now awaiting to see if the jeweller that my ring has been sent to can now fix it. Nairi said that the diamonds had to be checked and bought it every 6 months and this maybe be void and not Michael hills fault. However this happened in your care, using your equipment. 7 years no issue. <br />I will see what happens next and hopefully jeweller can fix this but otherwise I will be able taking this matter further. <br /><br />Kind regards <br />Stephanie Roussety Ioane
