Customer purchased activated google play card by mistake at big w, unable to get refund or assistance from big w or google, seeking $100 and apology.
I purchased a google play card by mistake i returned to Big W A to return it and was told it had been activated and i neede to get intouch with google so i tried to activate it but it wasnt activated by BigW so i tried to contct google and it was hopelkess so as far as iam concerned it was a coplete scam by both Big W and google neither wanted to help and iam a 75 year old pensioner and iam out by $100 it is a disgrace

Customer experienced rude behavior from a big w staff member, seeking apology and retraining for the employee.
A rude shopping assistant. At approximately 1410 on Wednesday the 10th July 2024 my wife and I were directed to a check out lane that no assist was attending being informed that someone would be there shorty. As we waited a man serving at another check out "stated there is no one there you have eyes you should use them" or words to that effect. I informed the gentleman that we were told to go to that check out and he should talk to me in that manner. After we were served I approached the man asking for this name he replied David why what's yours I replied David. As I walked away I heard him say "we don't need people like you around here" or words to to that effect. We have spent a lot of money at that Big W store when we were establishing a home in the area and were very surprised by the manner in which we were treated and abused by the staff member. In basic teams it left a bitter taste in our mouths. I believe that the staff member needs to be spoken to and retrained in customer service. I believe that it was unacceptable behaviour.

Customer upset with angela at big w for refusing to help scan multiple items, wants apology and better service
I went to Big w macquarie shopping centre store around 2 to 3 pm on 9th of July 2024, the staff Angela was there, i was trying to scan my tissues and it was like 5 boxes So i asked her to help me do numbers So i don't waste my time and other clients were waiting. She refused and said i had to scan one by one, I went there for many times and other staff never refused to do this, it took like one sec to complete but she didn't want to, that was rediculous and made me do not want to go there anymore.

I purchased 4x tablets for $169 each on layby and collected 30th of june.but it was on sale for $139 each . I tried to return for a store credit so I could re buy all tablets and still have $120 store credit for nappies and baby items as you know anyone and everyone's trying to save ever dollar. I'm trying to get my $120 back but I want extra for being embarrassed in the store Infront of other customers . I want $500 E gift card $120 for the price difference and $380 for being embarrassed by staff Infront of customers in the Bunbury store.

Customer seeks full refund and apology from big w for items wrongly marked as unavailable in online lay by, despite being in store.
I placed an online lay by, when I placed the order all items where available. Hours after I placed the order I received a confirmation stating that two items ( my main items) were unavailable and that if I wanted I could get a full refund. I went online to check to see if the items where available in the store I was placing the lay by at, as in the morning I personally visited the store and sited all items (there was plenty there). Funnily enough the items said they were available for click in collect and were available in the same store I put the layby through. I contacted customer service and they just kept repeating that I would have to pay for the cancellation fee and lay by fee even though these items that apparently were unavailable (when they are available) and also my email stated a full refund due to the issue being on their side not mine. I either want my items, the ones that are available that apparently weren’t at the time added to my lay by or an additional layby made of these items without an extra fee cost to myself as I have already paid one, or a full refund as stated in my email and a cancellation of my layby with a refund of the fees I have paid already.

Customer seeking refund from big w for pack of faulty hi cut panties size 10, with issues including non-stretch elastic, ladder in material, and undone sewing.
I bought a pack of 5 hi cut panties size 10. Three of them are faulty. One the elastic does not stretch and will not go above my thighs, the other has a ladder in the material and the third - the sewing came undone and I was left with the pantie in one hand and the elastic in the other. I would appreciate a refund and the product removed before someone else gets caught

Customer seeks refund and apology from big w for wrong delivery address, lack of communication, and delays in resolving issue.
I placed an order with BigW on 15 May 2024. The estimated delivery given was around 28 May on the delivery company Couriers Please's website, but when I checked on around 25 May, it said it had been delivered on the 21 May but to a totally wrong address even if I have the email and everything to indicate my correct address. Not only that, on the day it was delivered (21 May), no one rang me on my mobile or pressed our telecom at the gate (I have provided my unit number in the address), and there is no email at all. The next workday I found out the mistake, I called BigW on 1300 244 999 but was told they had to contact the delivery company asking for explanations and proof. So from that day on 27 May till today, I made up to 6-7 calls to them, basically every time I was always told they still need to wait for the delivery company's response, unfortunately nothing could be done including re-delivery or refund arrangement. And every time I was told that there should be an update within the following 48-72 hours, but next time I called there was always NOTHING and asked to keep waiting! The whole thing is so ridiculous. I did nothing wrong but I as a customer have to bear all of it. Up till today 7 June I still have nothing. Definitely will not make any purchase with BigW!

Customer seeks apology and refund for accidental bank card purchase, upset with manager's response and lack of flexibility.
On the 10/05/24 I went to big w at Rosny to purchase a 100 dollar gift card using afterpay, but accidentally used my bank card when I was not supposed to, I was told to go to layby and see if they could fix it. I explained that I still wanted the gift card I just wanted my money back and then repurchase the gift card on afterpay and the manager had said they couldn’t do that. I needed that money to go towards stuff for my kid, I was very upset. And i don’t believe I should be the one to be penalised after making a simple mistake. The only way I could then make sure I had enough money was to then purchase an other gift card on afterpay and I made sure it was the right card this time. I have been coming to big w for years now and have never had so much trouble. I am certainly not a person to complain but I believe this was very unfair. As if things are hard enough already with the cost of living.
