Customer frustrated with long wait times when calling ergon energy, suggests implementing a call-back system like other companies.
Tried to ring Ergon regarding my Bill rang three different numbers and was told on three occasions average wait time 40 minutes .I think it is about time your equpment for calls was updated. Why is lt not like other companys where they will put you in a line and ring you back, who can hang on line for 40 minutes.

Customer seeks reimbursement for test due to meter discrepancy, but ergon energy claims test results were normal and debits account for test cost.
Acc no 15987850 I had my meter tested in March as my solar credit had dropped way below from previous credits The technician Brian who did the test told me at completion that the meter was out by a little over 2% & Ergon would have to reimburse me He also mentioned that the meter should be replaced But when I asked Ergon to give me the results of the test, the reply was that the test showed everything was normal & they debit my acc for the cost of the test, I requested if the result had been mixed with someone else’s test & to please check with the technician who performed my test[Brian] I received email afterwards telling me to contact this department Wayne Macintosh

I'm worried that I might not be getting the best deal for my home energy service. Having been with Ergon Energy for over 3 years, and with living costs on the rise, it's important to me that I'm on the most suitable plan. I'm currently on Tariff 11 residential flat rate. Could Ergon Energy please check my account and inform me if there's a more cost-effective option that meets my requirements?

Customer's elderly mother experiencing long wait times, system errors, and delays in refund process. urgently seeking assistance from ergon energy.
My mum has been put on hold for over an hour 5 times. She has applied for a refund 3 times and the system shuts down and jams whilst just sending a message saying “wait while we process your information “ nothing happens. It’s ridiculous. Mum is elderly and needs to get a refund urgently due to daughter’s poor health. Please help

REQUEST FOR INVESTIGATION INTO ERGON ACCOUNT & CORRECT PAYMENT FOR OUR REFUNDS Noel & Barbara Ryan, 570 Kent Street, MARYBOROUGH QLD 4650 Ergon Account: A- 465AC102 (Old Account Number 90778740 changed 3/11/2023) An error was picked up by us in about July 2023. We had noticed there was no Solar Rebate on our current bill. On checking with ERGON, we found they had not considered our Solar Rebates from April 2022. An investigation was held by Ergon over a period of 5 months, and they have sent us a credit of $160.96 CR in cheque format. The information they posted to us was in the form of 2 itemized accounts of one document of 8 pages and another of 4 pages. All usage and service fees were entered as $1,900.15 (from 05/04/22 to 24/07/23). They then provided Solar Credits/Rebates & Reversal of Cancelled bills for the same period for an amount of $1,486.88. On querying why our Credit Refund was so low we were informed it was correct. Not sure, given the overwhelming number of figures provided. When we checked the second time, we were told we had a credit of over $700 and the officer said no that was not correct. Apparently, we were told that we weren’t being charged for a particular tariff and these charges were added on taking most of what credit we had. I always believed we were on tariff 11, even when they rebuilt our circuit board, three years ago. What we need is a simple correct explanation on letterhead by ERGON, so we can understand the jumble of figures. An officer from ERGON speaking to my wife explaining what had occurred. We have paid every bill since April 2022 and on the documentation provided there is a reversal of cancelled bills. Is this the money we have paid during this period. I don’t mind paying my bills, but because of their inefficiency these errors by ERGON have caused a painful period of stress to our family. We both feel that we have been pushed aside in all the paperwork to hide ERGON's errors and our refund. Noel & Barbara Ryan. Mob: 0403693817 21 March 2024
