Customer is unhappy with remote assessment process for car deemed a write off by aami, seeking reassessment by assessor.
My car was deemed a repairable write off. The assessment to determine this was done through an auction holding centre in my state (VIC) sending photos to an assessor in a different state (QLD) to remotely determine my car is a write off. No assessment report on the damage was made only photos of the damage and a quote which I had to request on 4 different occasions to finally receive. The quote includes parts on the left side such as the running lamp as well as the whole grille that needs to be replaced which do not seem reflective of the damage. When driving the car to SMART Capitol there were no engine issues and it was fine to drive. I would like to get in contact with the assessor and have this vehicle reassessed as I feel it has not been done fairly nor thoroughly.

Arrogant customer service officer 1107/2024 11.06 pm ( 2nd call) long wait time ( 15 min ) before answering call, could find files, put on hold repeatedly, treated with contempt!!!. Unable to quickly sort out refund premeditation,( 2nd time it's happened). On hold time between last call & this one is well over an hour , THIS IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE , ITS LAZYNESS & INEFFICIENCIES, CLEARLY THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR THE ROLE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Customer seeks refund for excess amount paid to aami due to unresolved issues with communication and lack of action on claim.
Insurance number HPL129563607 Claim number HO36751452 Dear Staff, I have copied the message that was drafted for AAMI. With their complaints online form, there is no space for providing detailed information. We had lodged a claim for repairs a few months ago with my investment property located at 30 Denham drive Horsley NSW 2530. I had authorised my real estate agent Chelsea Hill to act on my behalg given that it is tenanted with an old lady and family with kids. I had paid my excess promptly but AAMI had been very difficult to contact right from the outset. The issues are unresolved as there is no way we are able to communicate with case manager Hannah and Natalie. Regards Vaidya Bala Please be advised that in-spite of repeated calls from authorized Real estate agent Chelsea to contact Hannah / Natalie, our attempts have been unsuccessful. We are very disappointed with AAMI due to the fact that, I have paid my insurance excess and AAMI keeps sending invidual contractors in the last few months without any action being taken. This is wasting my time, resources and money and inconvenience to my tenants. On that note, my tenants have initiated a complaint which we will be supporting against AAMI to the tribunal for lack of action. Options considered: 1. Kindly refund my excess amount that I have paid already and close the claim 2. Action this claim ASAP to resolve the matter with in 7 working days Regardless, we are instructed to communicate with you directly first before proceeding to the court. Repairer seeking assistance from aami for unresolved supplementary quote issue, unable to get results or answers despite multiple phone calls.
As a repairer from SDF panel service, we have completed a customer's car. The assesssor has okayed the quote, however, we had to add a supplementary quote on the 16th of may 2024. As a result of this, we have made numerous phone calls to the assessor and aami call staff, but can't get any results or answers. Complaints about long wait times, lack of communication, and delays in vehicle repairs. requesting faster response and updates on repair progress.
My complaint is about the lack of communication and time taken to : 1. Answer the phone ( usually in excessive of waiting for over an hour and on one occasion almost two hours on hold until answered. 2. Time taken to get my vehicle collected and on my son's claim the time to get his vehicle repaired ( 6 weeks and we still have no idea ( nor does anyone at AAmi) seem to know whats happening with it . If we didnt chase it up with numerous phone calls to Aami, it seems there is noone following up. Takes no time for AAMI to answer getting a new policy and paying for a policy but past that everything seems to fall into the abyss. The effect of these delays and lack of communication is 1. My son is now forced to using my vehicle whilst his bike awaits repair and return. ( This has already been six weeks with no indication of when the bike will be returned). 2. It would appear that months go by with no vehicle, whilst rego and insurance times continue to erode. Insurance should be extended based on the time AAMI have the vehicle into repair. I am sure this would speed things up. 3. My own vehicle awaits to be towed to a repairer ( now almost two weeks since the no fault accident). No doubt it will probably follow the same delays as my son's bike claim and wont have a vehicle for months . To fix the issue, I would appreciate communication of whats happening with the repair and speedy return of the repaired vehicles.
