Customer seeking immediate withdrawal payment from smartmonday, experiencing delays and cash flow issues, forced to borrow money for bills.
I am a 67 year old retiree and they are literally taking months to pay me my withdrawals. Lies, push-offs, promises that never eventuate - Last withdrawal too 8 weeks to pay and only after a complaint via AFCA. I am experiencing cash flow issues and being forced to borrow money to pay my bills when I shouldn't have to. I want my entire withdrawal paid immediately. This one has been over a month now and all I get is excuses like reading from a script.

The customer is complaining about SmartMonday's delay in issuing their DASP payment, causing inconvenience and expensive international calls. They are seeking $7000 in compensation and guidance on their legal rights.
I am a Canadian citizen and resident who worked abroad in Australia in 2021 under a 482 Visa. As part of my compensation working for KPMG Australia, they contributed to a superannuation fund on my behalf - SmartMonday. Since I have now departed from Australia, I have lodged a DASP application (Departing Australia Superannuation Payment). I have done all the steps in the process, and now the action lies with SmartMonday, who is required to issue me my money in the fund. However, SmartMonday is unable to do so because "Your DASP Claim is yet to be actioned as the system is yet to be built". That's the only information they will give me, with an unclear timeline as to when they will be able to issue me my money. It is expensive for me to keep calling an Australian number from Canada to get updates on the situation. Seems unimaginable that a company whose business model is paying superannuation funds does not have a system to pay people out for their investments. I do not know what my rights are under the superannuation scheme, but I have to think that a company is not allowed to hold my money on account of having improper systems in place to pay me out when I request it. I am seeking help/guidance on how to approach this situation and wondering if there are legal responsibilities of a superannuation fund to pay a DASP that I can refer to.
