• Fully refundable tickets: Flexible fares = full refund (minus fees). Cancel within 24 hours of booking (7+ days before departure) for a full refund on any fare.
  
  
• Non-refundable tickets: Base fare usually forfeited, but unused taxes are refundable. Some non-refundable tickets may be converted to travel vouchers.
  
  
• Airline cancellations: If Qatar cancels or significantly delays your flight, you’re entitled to a full refund, no matter the fare type.
  
  
• Special circumstances: Refunds possible for medical emergencies, bereavement, denied visas, or force majeure with supporting documents.

1. Go online: Visit the Manage Booking portal at qatarairways.com. Enter Passenger Name Record (PNR) + last name, then select Refund & Voucher.
   
   
2. Agency bookings: Contact your travel agent. Qatar processes refunds via the original booking channel.
   
   
3. Provide documents: Have your booking reference, ticket numbers, and (if applicable) medical or bereavement certificates.
   
   
4. Confirm cancellation: Ensure your booking is cancelled when submitting your refund request - ask for confirmation.
   
   
5. Track status: Use Qatar’s online Track a Refund tool or call support (02 8320 1015 in Australia, 24/7).
   
   
6. Follow up: If refunds exceed the stated timeframe, chase Qatar Airways or your payment provider if necessary.
