• Refundable fares: Can be cancelled for a refund (minus any penalty) if fare rules allow.
  
  
• Non-refundable fares: Only unused government taxes may be refunded.
  
  
• Mixed fares: The most restrictive rule applies. Non-refundable segments make the whole ticket non-refundable.
  
  
• Third-party bookings: Must be cancelled via the original travel agent or OTA. Qatar won’t process direct refunds.
  
  
• 24-hour grace period: Bookings made directly with Qatar can often be cancelled risk-free within 24 hours (if 7+ days before departure).
  
  
• Airline cancellations: If Qatar cancels or significantly changes your flight, you’re entitled to a full refund with no penalty.
  

1. Prepare details: Booking reference (PNR), e-ticket number, passenger name.
   
   
2. Use Manage Booking: Log in via qatarairways.com or the app. Select Modify → Cancel. Refundable amounts and penalties are shown before confirmation.
   
   
3. Submit refund form: Complete the online Ticket Refund Request form with booking details and acknowledgement.
   
   
4. Contact customer support: If online cancellation isn’t possible (e.g., partially used tickets), call Qatar Airways Customer Care.
   
   
5. Confirm cancellation: Save the cancellation confirmation email and refund case number.
   
   

💡 Tip: Always cancel before departure to avoid being marked as a no-show, which forfeits most of your ticket value.
