Can you return an item to Myer? Check eligibility first
Myer allows change-of-mind returns within 30 days for most items, as long as they’re unused, in saleable condition, and accompanied by proof of purchase (receipt, order email, or credit card statement). For gifts, Myer extends returns to 31 January for items purchased in November or December.
You’re also protected by Australian Consumer Law. If a product is faulty, not as described, or doesn’t perform as expected, you’re entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund, regardless of the 30-day limit.
🔒 Exclusions: Myer does not accept change-of-mind returns on:
- Clearance or “reduced to clear” items
- Pierced jewellery, face masks, underwear, hosiery, swimwear (if hygiene seal is removed)
- Personalised/custom items
- Opened cosmetics or personal care products
- Perishables like flowers or food
- Gift and recharge cards
- Items marked “no change of mind”
⚠️ No return (even for faults) is processed without proof of purchase. Always keep your receipt or order confirmation handy.
How to return an item to Myer
In-Store (Free & Fast): Return any item (online or in-store purchase) to a Myer store. Bring your receipt and item in saleable condition. Refunds go back to your original payment method instantly. This is the quickest option.
Online Orders by Mail:
- Use ParcelPoint: Complete the form on Myer’s ParcelPoint portal, print your label, and drop off at a local outlet.
- Use Australia Post: Access the Australia Post/Myer return portal, generate a label or barcode, and drop off at any post office.
📦 Be sure to include all components and securely package your item.
🛋 Big & Bulky Items: Can’t return these in-store. If faulty, call 13 MYER to organise pickup or repair. Change-of-mind returns are generally not accepted for these items.
Myer return timeframes and conditions
- Standard Returns Window: 30 days from purchase.
- Extended Christmas Returns: Items bought in November/December returnable until 31 January.
- No Deadline for Faulty Items: You can return faulty goods at any time within a “reasonable” period.
