Can you return an item to BCF? Check eligibility first
BCF offers a 30-day change-of-mind return window for most products, as long as items are in as-new condition (unused, with tags, packaging, and proof of purchase). Refunds are issued to your original payment method, or you can opt for an exchange.
Some items can’t be returned for change of mind, including:
- Custom or made-to-order products.
- Opened CDs, DVDs, or software.
- Underwear, swimwear, and socks (unless faulty).
- Gift cards and vouchers.
- Delivery or assembly services already provided.
Faulty, damaged, or “not as described” items are covered separately under Australian Consumer Law – even after the 30 days. In those cases, you’re entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund depending on the fault.
How to return an item to BCF
You can return products either in-store or by post (for online orders):
- In-store returns: Bring the item, proof of purchase (receipt, bank statement, or Club BCF lookup), and photo ID if needed. Refunds are processed instantly to your original payment method, or you can exchange on the spot.
- Returns by post: Use BCF’s free Australia Post returns portal to generate a prepaid label. Pack the item securely, include your order details, and drop it off at any Post Office. Refunds are processed once BCF receives and inspects the item (usually within 14 days).
💡 Tip: For fast exchanges, visit a store. Mail-in returns are processed as refunds only.
BCF return timeframes and item conditions
- Change of mind: 30 days from purchase (or delivery for online orders).
- Condition: Items must be in re-saleable condition (unused, with packaging, manuals, and accessories).
- Faulty products: Covered under consumer law beyond 30 days. Major faults = refund/replacement. Minor faults = repair or assessment.

- Postal: Approx. 14 days including postage and processing.
Who pays for BCF return shipping?
- Free return shipping: Available for most online orders under 22kg using the AusPost returns portal.
- Bulky/oversized items: Contact BCF Customer Care for courier arrangements.
- In-store returns: Always free.
- Faulty items: If you paid return shipping and the product is deemed faulty, BCF will reimburse reasonable costs.
BCF refunds after a return - how and when you’ll get your money back
Refunds are always issued back to your original payment method:
- Card payments → back to the same card (2–5 business days).
- PayPal, Afterpay, Zip → processed through the same platform.
- Cash → refunded in-store immediately (for small amounts).
- Gift cards → refunded as store credit.
