Jetstar’s refund eligibility depends on your fare type and reason for cancellation. Here’s the breakdown:

• Starter & Plus Fares: Non-refundable if you cancel (unless Jetstar cancels your flight or you're protected by law).
  
  
• Flex / Flex Plus Bundles: You can cancel before the check-in deadline and get a Jetstar travel voucher.
  
  
• Business Max Bundle: Offers cash refunds, minus a fee. You must cancel by end of the departure day.
  
  
• Jetstar Cancels or Delays Your Flight: You’re legally entitled to a full cash refund, regardless of fare type.
  
  
• Compassionate Circumstances: Jetstar may approve refunds or credits if you provide evidence (e.g. serious illness).
  
  
• US-Linked Flights: Full refund if cancelled within 24 hours of booking (if booked at least 7 days before travel).
  
  

📝 Fees like booking charges and travel insurance usually aren’t refunded. Some taxes may be reclaimable (less a ~$50 admin fee).

1. Check Your Fare Conditions – Find out if you're eligible for a refund or voucher (Flex/Business Max) or if Jetstar cancelled your flight.
   
   
2. Cancel the Flight (if not already): Do it online via “Manage Booking” or call Jetstar. Don't skip the flight without cancelling - no-shows get nothing.

Tip: Booked through Expedia or another agent? You’ll need to go through them to claim.

Jetstar refunds in the original payment form when issuing cash. Here’s how it works:

• Vouchers → Reissued or emailed anew.
  
  
• Third-party Bookings → Refunded to the agent (you’ll need to chase them).
  
  
• Split Payments → Refund is split across payment types used.
  
  
• Afterpay/Zip → Jetstar informs them. They handle the refund/installment changes.
  
  

Note: Refunds are NOT transferable to other cards or accounts unless your old account is closed, then Jetstar may request new bank details.
