Spotlight cancellations are strictly timing-dependent, you can only cancel if the order has not yet been dispatched.
Online Orders (Delivery)
Spotlight allows cancellation only if your order has not yet left the warehouse.
This means:
- Cancellation is possible only during the early processing window
- Once dispatched → you must wait for delivery, then return the order
No Product Changes After Checkout
Spotlight cannot modify items, sizes, colours, or quantities after purchase.
Your options are to cancel the full order (while it's still early) and adjust your items, or return the items after delivery.
Address Corrections Allowed (If Early Enough)
Spotlight may update the shipping address before dispatch if you contact them immediately.
Click & Collect Orders
Good news, if you haven’t collected your order yet, Spotlight can cancel it and issue a full refund.

Spotlight’s VIP Club is free. To opt-out, simply:
- Unsubscribe from emails, or
- Ask Customer Service to remove your account
How to cancel a Spotlight subscription, service or order
Since Spotlight doesn’t offer any recurring subscriptions, cancellation applies to product orders only.
1. Cancel a Standard Delivery Order (Before Dispatch)
Act immediately after ordering, Spotlight processes orders quickly.
Steps:
- Call Spotlight Customer Care: 1300 305 405 (fastest)
- OR submit a cancellation request via: https://help.spotlightstores.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
- Provide:
- Order number
- Full name
- Reason for cancellation
- Order number
- Spotlight will confirm if the order is still unfulfilled
- If not yet dispatched → cancellation + refund triggered
- If already shipped → cancellation not possible
There is no Cancel button in your Spotlight account. Staff must process it manually.
2. Cancel a Click & Collect Order
Click & Collect cancellations are simple.
Steps:
- Call Customer Care (1300 305 405) or the specific store directly
- Provide your order number
- Spotlight cancels the order immediately
- Refund issued to your original payment method
- You’ll receive a cancellation confirmation email
Even if the store has already prepared your items, cancellation is allowed before pickup.
3. Cancel Spotlight VIP Membership
No cancellation required. To stop participation:
- Unsubscribe from emails
- Or request account deletion via the help form
How long does a Spotlight cancellation take?
Spotlight doesn’t use fixed deadlines (e.g., “cancel within 2 hours”). The critical cutoff is before dispatch or before pickup.
Standard Delivery Orders
Your cancellation window is tiny, often the same day you ordered. Dispatch commonly happens within 24 hours.
Once dispatched → cancellation impossible → return required.
Click & Collect
You may cancel your Click & Collect:
- Anytime during the store’s holding window (often 3–7 days)
- Even an hour before you intended to pick it up
If you simply don’t collect your order, Spotlight will eventually cancel and refund, but proactively cancelling gets your refund faster.
After Dispatch / After Pickup
Cancellation is no longer available. But you can still:
- Return most items within 28 days for a refund
- Bring items in-store or return by mail (postage at your cost)

No Cancellation Fees
Spotlight does not charge:
- Cancellation fees
- Restocking fees
- Admin fees
If cancellation is processed before dispatch → you get a full refund.
Supplier Direct / Online Only Items
Some supplier-shipped items may not be cancellable once processed by the supplier. Spotlight will advise case-by-case.
International Bank Fees (Rare Scenario)
If you’re outside Australia and paid in AUD, your bank may charge currency fees. Spotlight refunds the product, but bank fees may not be refunded.
