? Avoid the runaround.

• Cancel anytime – Spotify Premium has no lock-in contracts. You can cancel whenever you choose.
  
  
• Premium continues until billing date – cancellation stops auto-renewal but doesn’t cut off existing paid time.
  
  
• Free trials – cancel before the end of trial to avoid charges (trial access ends immediately if you cancel early).
  
  
• Third-party billing – Apple, Google, or telco subscribers must cancel via those providers.
  
  
• Gift cards & prepaid – No refunds. Premium runs until prepaid balance expires.
  
  
• No partial refunds – outside EU/UK’s 14-day cooling-off, unused time isn’t refunded.
  

Cancel via Spotify Website (Direct Billing):

1. Go to spotify.com/account and log in.
   
   
2. Under Your Plan, select Change Plan.
   
   
3. Scroll to Spotify Free and click Cancel Premium.
   
   
4. Confirm cancellation through the prompts.
   
   
5. Check your email for cancellation confirmation.
   
   

If Subscribed via Apple/iTunes:

1. On iPhone/iPad: Go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
   
   
2. Select Spotify and tap Cancel Subscription.
   
   
3. Confirm end date.
   
   

If Subscribed via Google Play:

1. Open Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions.
   
   
2. Select Spotify > Cancel.
   
   

If Subscribed via Carrier or Partner:

• Log into your provider account or contact their customer support to cancel.
  
  

⚡ Tip: After cancellation, verify on your Spotify account page that your plan shows Free with an end date.

• Cancel before renewal date to avoid next charge.
  
  
• Free trials – cancel before trial end or you’ll be billed. Cancelling early ends trial immediately.
  
  
• Apple/Google billing – cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
  
  
• Annual/prepaid plans – runs until expiry. No early refund.
  
  
• 14-day cooling-off (EU/UK only) – eligible for refund if service unused.
  
  
• Downgrade timing – Premium continues until billing date, then account switches to Free.
  

• No cancellation fee – Spotify does not charge to cancel.
  
  
• No penalties – you simply won’t be billed again.
  
  
• No refund for unused time – you keep Premium until the end of your billing period.
  
  
• No port-out or account deletion fees – free to close or downgrade anytime.
  
  
• Third-party billing – check Apple/Google/telco refund rules.
