Qantas cancellations depend on fare type:

• Fully Flexible (Flex): Refundable with little or no fee.
  
  
• Saver/Economy Sale: Often non-refundable, but flight credit may be offered.
  
  
• Red e-Deals: No refund, just unused taxes refunded.
  
  
• Frequent Flyer Classic Rewards: Cancellable with a points or cash fee (~6,000 points).
  
  
• 24-Hour Grace Period: Booked directly + QFF member + 30+ days before travel = full refund.
  
  
• Qantas-initiated cancellations: Always entitled to a full refund, no fees.

1. Go to Manage Booking: qantas.com/manage-booking
   
   
2. Select “Cancel/Voucher”: If eligible, you’ll see options for refund or flight credit.
   
   
3. Review Refund/Fees: The site shows any fee and refund amount before you confirm.
   
   
4. Confirm & Save: Click to finalise. Watch for confirmation email.
   
   
5. Use Flight Credits: Access via Qantas Travel Credits portal.
   
   
6. Can’t cancel online? Call Qantas on 13 13 13 or use the Qantas App.
   
   
7. Third-party booking? Contact the agency directly – Qantas can’t cancel it.
   
   
8. Extras (insurance, hotel, upgrades): Cancel separately. Qantas often won’t refund prepaid extras unless fully refunded fare.
   

📝 Tip: For points bookings, refunds are usually quick, but always check for any deduction.
