Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video subscriptions in Australia can be cancelled at any time. There are no lock-in contracts, minimum terms, or cancellation restrictions.

You can cancel:

• A Prime Video-only subscription
• A full Amazon Prime membership that includes Prime Video

If Prime Video is included in an Amazon Prime membership, cancelling Amazon Prime will also cancel Prime Video access. Prime Video-only subscriptions can be cancelled independently.

Free trials can be cancelled at any point before the trial ends to avoid being charged. Cancelling a trial early does not remove access, you can continue using Prime Video until the trial expiry date.

If you subscribed through a third party (such as Apple App Store, Google Play, or a telco bundle), cancellation must be completed through that provider, not Amazon.

To cancel Amazon Prime Video online:

1. Sign in to your Amazon or Prime Video account.
2. Go to Account & Settings.
3. Select the Your Account tab.
4. Choose End Subscription (for Prime Video-only plans).

If Prime Video is part of Amazon Prime:

1. Select Edit on Amazon under Prime Membership.
2. You’ll be redirected to Amazon.com.au.
3. Choose End Membership and Benefits.
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm.

Once cancelled, Amazon will display a confirmation message and send a confirmation email. Your subscription will be marked as not renewing.

If you cannot find the cancellation option or experience issues, Amazon Australia customer support can assist via live chat or phone callback.

Cancellations take effect immediately for billing purposes.

• You will not be charged again after cancelling.
• Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
• To avoid the next charge, cancel before your renewal date.

For free trials:

• Cancel before the trial end date to avoid being charged.
• Access continues until the scheduled trial expiry.

Amazon offers a 3 business day cooling-off period after a paid subscription starts or renews. If you cancel within this window, you may be eligible for a full refund, subject to any usage deductions.

Amazon Prime Video does not charge cancellation fees.

There are:

• No early termination fees
• No exit penalties
• No additional charges for cancelling

If you cancel mid-billing period, Amazon does not automatically issue partial refunds. Instead, you retain access until the end of the period already paid for.

Annual memberships may qualify for refunds in limited situations, such as unused service after renewal or material changes to the service.
