Customer upset after being rejected for dodo electricity despite good credit history, then pressured to buy nbn. requests apology and better credit check process.
Hello also sent you an email, but I am very upset so also posting here as well. Myself and my daughter applied to change to Dodo electricity as you gave the best deal according to energymadeeasy. Currently we are with globird and the account is in my daughters Jayde Newland's name. We are never late on a payment, we pay all our bills before they are due and dont have any debt and yet you knocked us back to sign up with dodo for electricity for some reason, according to somewhere you get your advice from, which that company I have never heard of before, nor have I ever had a comnpany knock me back to have electricity supplied to my home, and obviously this company does not have their records straight, or have any knowledge of either of our credit ratings, which means dodo loses out on ligitimate business and how many other people have been rejected and business you have missed out on, due to information from this company. Electricity is a human right so knocking someone back who pays all their bills before they are due is really stupid. Then after we were knocked back to sign up for electricity, a basic human right, which is incredibly insulting. I was rung by one of your sales people trying to sell us NBN, which would cost around the same amount as what the electricity we were quoted. Seriously what is the story here, why would you try to sell us NBN when we apparently dont meed your criteria to have electricity through you. We own our own home we own our own cars and yet you knock us back on electricity and want to sell us NBN, make sense. NO ! I advise you get your credit history from somewhere else and whoever you are getting it from now has no clue. or maybe they have no history because we own everything, that would make us a great customer, would it not ? Customer seeks $80 refund from dodo for unnecessary modem purchase, miscommunication, unprofessionalism, and lack of internet connection despite assurances.
I spoke with someone in regards to signing up with dodo, I was asked to purchase a modem which I stated I did not need but they assured me I need this to help with my dodo connection. I was told the modem and account would be plug and play and I did not need a technician as my system is up to date, once I receive the modem. I received the modem plugged it in and no internet. I called dodo and explained my problem and then I was told I will need to wait another week for a technician to come and have a look before they activate my account. I stated I am not happy about the miscommunication and unprofessionalism that I have received and wished to cancel my account going though and requested a refund for a modem I never wanted nor did I need, I have been on for the phone for almost 2 hours and this problem has not been resolved. I am $80 out of pocket with no internet due to someone not knowing how to do their job properly.
