- Select Manage Zip Pay/Money account.
- Tap Close Account and follow prompts.
- Confirm closure – you’ll get confirmation in-app.

Cancel an order/payment:
- Contact the merchant directly.
- If approved, refund → credited to Zip account (up to 14 business days).
- If no balance owing, refund creates credit. Request payout to your bank if you don’t want to leave it on account.
How long does a Zip cancellation take?
- Account closure → Instant via app once your balance is $0. If via form/email, allow a few business days for review.
- Final payments → BPAY may take 3–5 business days to clear before account can close.
- Refunds from merchants → Up to 14 business days depending on store processing.
- Notice periods → None. Zip doesn’t require 30 days’ notice – close anytime.

Zip cancellation fees and final charges – what to expect
- No cancellation fees → Zip does not charge account closure fees.

- Refund of credit balances → If you overpay or get a refund, you can request Zip to return credit to your bank.
