You can cancel a UFC Gym Australia membership, but there are strict conditions, fees, and a mandatory 28-day notice period.

Here’s what determines your eligibility:

Cooling-off period:
Cancel within 7 days of joining (for 3+ month memberships) and receive a refund minus any usage/admin fees.

Minimum term contracts:
If you’re still within a 12- or 18-month term, you can cancel, but it’s treated as early termination and a cancellation fee applies.

Month-to-month members (post-contract):
You can cancel anytime, no reason needed, as long as you provide 28 days notice.

In-person only:
You must visit the club in person and complete a cancellation form. UFC Gym does not accept cancellations via phone, email, or social media.

Transfers allowed:
You can transfer your membership to someone else (with approval) instead of cancelling - potentially avoiding the cancellation fee.

No medical exemptions:
Injury or relocation doesn’t waive the cancellation fee, even with a doctor’s certificate. You can pause your membership, but not cancel without penalty.

If your club has closed or services were not delivered as promised, you may be eligible to cancel without fees due to breach of contract.

Cancelling your UFC Gym membership requires in-person action. Here's the step-by-step:

1. Check your contract
   Note your contract term, billing schedule, and whether you’re inside the minimum commitment.
2. Visit your home club in person
   Go during staffed hours. Let them know you want to cancel and request a cancellation form.
3. Complete the cancellation form
   Include your name, membership ID, cancellation reason, and sign it to start your 28-day notice period.
4. Discuss final charges
   Staff will explain:
   
   • Any cancellation fees (if under contract)
   • Your final 28-day billing amounts
5. Request a copy
   Take a photo or get a physical copy of your signed form — this is your proof of cancellation.
6. Serve the 28-day notice period
   You’ll remain a member (and be billed) for 28 days. You can use the gym during this period.
7. Return your access fob (if required)
   Some clubs ask for the return of your key fob or card on or after your final day.
8. Get confirmation
   Follow up with a written request for confirmation of cancellation, especially if not immediately received.
9. Monitor your bank statements
   Make sure billing stops after the 28 days. If not, escalate with your club, head office, or your bank.

If your club has closed, send a certified letter to head office or the nearest club explaining your situation.

Cooling-off deadline:
Cancel within 7 days of signing to get a refund (minus fees for admin or visits). Beyond 7 days, full contract terms apply.

Standard cancellation timing:
All cancellations require 28 days’ notice. Billing continues during this time, regardless of whether you're in contract or not.

Billing alignment:
Plan your cancellation right after a billing date to avoid overlapping charges during the 28-day period.

End-of-term planning:
Even if your contract ends on June 30, you must give 28 days' notice. So cancel by June 2 to stop by month-end.

Early termination timing:
Cancellation fees (if applicable) are charged at time of cancellation or with your final debit. Be sure funds are available.

Club closures:
If your club closes, act quickly, insist on a fee-free cancellation if no comparable facility is offered.

�Freezes:
If you just need time off, UFC Gym allows short-term freezes (for a fee). You can’t cancel while frozen.

Early termination fee:
If cancelling mid-contract, you’ll pay the greater of:

• $250, or
• 50% of your remaining membership dues

Notice period dues:
Regardless of term, you’ll continue to pay for 28 days after submitting your cancellation.

Cooling-off cancellations:
No cancellation fee, but expect:

• Deductions for days used
• Admin fee (~$50 typical)

No fee if post-contract:
After your contract ends, you can cancel any time with 28 days' notice (no early exit fee).

Transfer fee:
You can transfer your contract to someone else (with approval) and pay a small admin fee instead of cancelling outright.

Outstanding dues:
Any unpaid fees (missed debits, late fees) must be cleared before cancellation is finalised.

Access card:
Usually non-refundable. Return it if required.

No refund of cancellation fee once paid, it’s a final charge.
