Tinder

? Avoid the runaround.

You can cancel a Tinder subscription (Plus, Gold, or Platinum) at any time. There are no long-term contracts locking you in. Cancelling simply turns off auto-renewal so you won’t be billed again.

• Cancel anytime: All tiers (Plus, Gold, Platinum) can be cancelled whenever you choose.

• Cancel where you subscribed: You must cancel using the same platform you used to pay:
  
  • Apple App Store (iPhone/iPad) → cancel in Apple subscriptions
  • Google Play (Android) → cancel in Google Play subscriptions
  • Tinder direct (credit card/PayPal via Tinder app or website) → cancel inside Tinder

• Deletion ≠ cancellation: Deleting the app or your Tinder account does not stop billing. You must cancel the subscription first.

• Bans or account deletion: A ban or deleting your profile does not automatically end billing. - cancellation is still required.
  ‍
• After cancelling: You keep paid benefits until the end of the current billing period.

If you subscribed on iPhone (Apple App Store)

1. Open Settings → tap your Apple ID.
2. Tap Subscriptions.
3. Select Tinder (Plus/Gold/Platinum).
4. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
5. Check the status shows Expires on [date] (not “Renews”).

If you subscribed on Android (Google Play)

1. Open Google Play Store.
2. Tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
3. Select Tinder.
4. Tap Cancel subscription and confirm.
5. Verify it now shows an expiration date.

If you subscribed directly with Tinder (credit card/PayPal)

• In the Tinder app (Android): Profile → Manage Payment Account → select your plan → Cancel Subscription.
• On Tinder.com (web): Log in → Profile → Manage Payment Account → Cancel Subscription.
• Confirm the cancellation and save the confirmation email/screen.

Tip: If the app doesn’t show the cancel option due to a glitch, try Tinder.com on a browser or cancel via your payment provider (Apple/Google/PayPal).

• Cancel before renewal: To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date.
• After cancelling: Your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid period.
• Multi-month plans: 6- or 12-month plans auto-renew for another full term if not cancelled - mark the date.
• Free trials: Cancel before the trial ends or it converts to a paid plan.
• Switching devices: If you move from iOS to Android (or vice versa), cancel on the original platform (subscriptions don’t transfer).

• No cancellation fee: There’s no penalty for cancelling.
• No pro-rata refunds by default: If you cancel mid-period, you won’t get money back for unused days - you’ll keep access until the period ends.
• Common surprise charge: Forgetting to cancel before renewal. This isn’t a fee, just the normal subscription renewing.
• Banned accounts: If an account is banned, unused paid time is typically not refunded (case-by-case exceptions may occur).
