Here’s what usually applies:

• 30-day notice (most members): Revo generally requires 30 days’ written notice to cancel an ongoing membership. You can cancel at any time. Your membership ends after the notice period.

• South Australia (SA) exception: If your home club is in South Australia, notice can be shorter (often up to 14 days, depending on your next debit timing) due to state requirements.

• Written notice is required: Revo does not accept cancellations by phone calls, social media, or informal chats. Your cancellation must be submitted in writing (typically via the official cancellation form and/or email).

• Account must be in good standing: If you’re behind on payments or have overdue fees, you may need to settle them before cancellation can be finalised.

• Cooling-off period (WA): If your home club is in Western Australia, there is typically a 7-day cooling-off period for new memberships (where applicable). After this window, the standard notice rules apply.

• 5-Week Upfront membership: If you’re on a 5-week upfront membership, it’s a fixed-term product that usually expires automatically at the end of the 5 weeks (unless you actively continue or convert to another plan).

• Medical / permanent incapacity: Revo may allow immediate cancellation if you can’t use the gym due to a permanent illness or incapacity, typically requiring a medical certificate.

Revo’s cancellation process is straightforward as long as you follow the official steps and keep proof.

1. Get the official cancellation form (recommended)
   Revo uses a standard cancellation form (often referenced in their terms). You can request it:
   
   • In person at a Revo club during staffed hours, or
   • By email if you can’t get in.

2. Complete the form carefully
   Fill in all required details (name, date of birth, contact info, home club).
   Use the date you submit it as your notice date, because this is what starts the notice period clock.

3. Submit your cancellation in writing (choose one)
   
   • In person: Hand the completed form to staff at the club during staffed hours.
   • By email: Email the completed form to Revo Support. Send from the same email address linked to your membership if possible, and include your full name + club location in the email body.

4. Get confirmation in writing
   Revo should confirm receipt and provide:
   
   • Your cancellation effective end date
   • Any final payment amount and when it will be debited
     If you don’t receive confirmation within a few business days, follow up.

5. Keep your payment method active until the final debit is completed
   Don’t cancel your direct debit early - that can trigger failed payments and extra headaches. Let the final debit occur as advised.

6. Double-check charges stop after your end date
   Once your cancellation end date passes, verify no further debits occur. Keep your records until you’ve confirmed billing has stopped.

• Most members: Your membership ends 30 days after Revo receives your written cancellation notice.

What to expect with billing:

• You will usually have one final debit during the notice period (monthly or fortnightly, depending on your plan).
• If your billing cycle doesn’t line up perfectly with the notice window, Revo may calculate a pro-rated final amount. Your confirmation should spell this out.

Timing tip to avoid paying extra:

• If you want your membership to end by a certain date, submit cancellation at least 30 days before (or earlier, to allow for processing and confirmation).

Cooling-off (WA):

• If you’re eligible and you cancel within the cooling-off window, cancellation may be processed immediately (rather than waiting 30 days).

In most cases, Revo does not charge a separate “cancellation fee” for ending an ongoing membership. Instead, the cost of cancelling is typically just:

• Your regular membership fees during the notice period (e.g., the last 30 days)

Other charges that may apply in certain situations:

• Overdue fees / unpaid balances: If you’re behind on payments, you’ll likely need to settle outstanding amounts.
• Failed payment fees: If your direct debit fails during the notice period, additional fees may apply.
• Cooling-off admin fee (WA): If you cancel during the cooling-off period, Revo may deduct an administration fee from any refund.
• Swipe tag / one-time costs: Any one-off purchase fees (if applicable) are generally not refunded.

Important: Don’t “cancel” by stopping direct debit only. That usually doesn’t count as a valid cancellation and can create arrears and disputes.
