Paramount Plus Australia allows you to cancel your subscription at any time, with no lock-in contracts or minimum terms. The service runs on a recurring billing model (monthly or annual), meaning you stay in control of future charges as long as you cancel before your next renewal date.

Here’s what to know before cancelling:

• Monthly subscriptions: You can cancel at any point during the month. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period, and you won’t be charged again.
• Annual subscriptions: You can turn off auto-renew at any time to prevent the subscription from renewing for another year. You’ll continue to have access until the end of the 12-month period you already paid for.
• No proration: Paramount Plus does not refund unused time when you cancel early. You simply keep access until the paid period ends.
• Free trials: If you’re on a 7-day free trial, you can cancel before the trial ends and you won’t be charged. Paramount Plus allows you to continue using the service until the trial expires, even if you cancel early.
• Third-party subscriptions: If you signed up via Apple, Google Play, Amazon Prime Video Channels, or a telco bundle, you must cancel through that same provider. Cancellation eligibility still applies, but timing rules may differ slightly.
• Account vs subscription: Cancelling stops future charges but does not delete your account. Account deletion is optional and can only be done after cancelling an active subscription.

The steps to cancel Paramount Plus depend on how you originally subscribed.

If you subscribed directly through Paramount Plus

1. Log in to your Paramount Plus account via a web browser.
2. Click your profile icon and go to Account or Account Settings.
3. Open Subscription & Billing.
4. Select Cancel Subscription and confirm.
5. Check for the cancellation confirmation message and email.
6. Verify your account now shows an end date instead of a renewal date.

If you subscribed via Apple (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV)

1. Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
2. Select Paramount Plus.
3. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
4. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid charges.

If you subscribed via Google Play (Android)

1. Open the Google Play Store.
2. Tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
3. Select Paramount Plus.
4. Tap Cancel subscription and confirm.

If you subscribed via Amazon Prime Video Channels

1. Log in to your Amazon account.
2. Go to Memberships & Subscriptions.
3. Find Paramount Plus under Prime Video Channels.
4. Select Cancel Channel and confirm.

If you subscribed through a telco or bundle

You’ll need to cancel via that provider’s account portal (for example, Telstra). Paramount Plus cannot cancel third-party subscriptions for you.

⚠️ Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.

• Effective date: Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, not immediately.
• Avoiding the next charge: Cancel before your renewal date. If you’re billed through Apple or Google, cancel at least 24 hours in advance.
• Free trial deadline: Cancel before the 7-day trial ends to avoid being charged. App store subscriptions may require earlier cancellation.
• Annual plans: Cancelling mid-year stops renewal but does not end access early.
• Confirmation: You should receive an email stating the exact end date of your subscription. Always double-check your account status.

Missing the renewal cutoff usually means you’ll be charged for another full period.

• No cancellation fees: Paramount Plus does not charge penalties for cancelling.
• No early termination charges: There are no exit fees, even for annual plans.
• Final charges: You’re responsible only for the period already billed.
• No surprise charges: Once cancellation is confirmed, there should be no future billing.
• Plan changes: Switching plans does not incur fees beyond standard pricing differences.
• Re-subscribing: You can cancel and rejoin anytime without extra charges.

If you see charges after your cancellation end date, contact support immediately.
