Deezer

? Avoid the runaround.

Deezer subscriptions (Premium, HiFi, Family, trials) can generally be cancelled at any time - there’s no long-term lock-in for standard plans. When you cancel, you typically keep Premium features until the end of your current paid period, then your account reverts to Deezer Free (ad-supported).

A few important eligibility rules:

• Family plan: only the main account holder (the organiser) can cancel or change the Family subscription.
• Where you subscribed matters: if you subscribed via Apple (App Store) or Google Play, you’ll need to cancel through that platform (not inside Deezer).
• Cancel early to avoid an extra charge: Deezer users commonly recommend cancelling at least 48 hours before your renewal date to reduce the chance of the next cycle being billed. (Deezer support is known to be strict if you miss the renewal window.)

If you subscribed directly with Deezer (web billing)

1. Log in to your Deezer account on a web browser
2. Go to Account Settings
3. Select Manage my subscription
4. Click Cancel my subscription and confirm the prompts.

If you subscribed via Apple (iPhone/iPad)

Cancel via your Apple subscriptions:

• Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Deezer → Cancel Subscription

If you subscribed via Google Play (Android)

Cancel via Google Play subscriptions:

• Open Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Deezer → Cancel subscription

If you subscribed via a carrier/partner bundle

You’ll usually need to cancel through the billing partner that charges you (carrier portal/app/support), not through Deezer directly.

Tip: After cancelling, log back in and confirm your subscription shows an end/expiry date (or that it’s set not to renew). Save a screenshot or confirmation email.

Deezer cancellations typically work on a simple model:

• Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period you’ve already paid for.
• After that date, your account downgrades to Deezer Free (and offline downloads/premium-only features stop).

To avoid being charged for another cycle:

• Cancel before your renewal date and give yourself a buffer (many users aim for 48 hours before renewal).

Free trials:

• You can cancel during the trial to prevent it from converting into a paid plan. Just don’t leave it until the last minute.

Annual plans:

• Cancelling usually stops auto-renewal for the next year. You typically keep access until the current annual term ends.

Deezer typically does not charge a separate cancellation fee.

What you might still pay:

• If your plan has already renewed (or renewal has been processed), that billing period usually stands, and you keep access through that period.

There are no “early termination fees” in the classic sense for standard monthly subscriptions. The main cost risk is simply missing the renewal cutoff and being billed for the next cycle.
