DAZN

? Avoid the runaround.

DAZN is a sports streaming subscription with a few different plan types, and your cancellation rules depend on what you’re subscribed to.

Here’s how it typically works for Australian customers:

• Monthly Flexible / month-to-month plan: You can cancel at any time, but DAZN applies a 30-day cancellation notice period from the day you cancel. That means your subscription doesn’t end instantly — it runs on for that notice window.
• Annual plans (including “Annual – Pay Monthly”): These are usually a 12-month commitment. You can turn off auto-renewal so it won’t renew for another year, but you generally can’t end the current annual term early without still being responsible for the remaining contract period.
• Free trials / PPV sign-ups: DAZN sometimes offers a trial period that can roll into a paid subscription if you don’t cancel before the trial ends. If you only wanted access for an event, cancel as soon as you’re done (but make sure you’ve completed all cancellation steps).
• If you subscribed via a third party: If you signed up through Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon, or another provider, you’ll usually need to cancel through that provider’s subscription settings (not inside DAZN).

You can cancel DAZN, but the end date and final charges depend on whether you’re monthly (30-day notice) or annual (contract term).

DAZN cancellation is often easiest through a web browser and your account page.

1. Log in to your DAZN account (web browser is easiest)
   Go to DAZN and sign in with the email you used for your subscription.
2. Open “My Account” / Subscription settings
   From your profile/menu, navigate to "My Account" and find the "Subscription" section.
3. Click “Cancel subscription”
   Select the cancellation option and follow the on-screen steps.
4. Be ready for an extra confirmation step
   Depending on your plan/payment method, DAZN may prompt you to confirm via an automated flow or Customer Support (chat) before it’s fully cancelled. Keep going until you see a final confirmation.
5. Save your confirmation
   You should receive an email confirming your cancellation and/or an end date. Keep this as proof.

If you subscribed via Apple / Google / Amazon (third party)

Cancel through the platform that bills you:

• Apple: iPhone/iPad Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → DAZN
• Google Play: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → DAZN
• Amazon: manage subscriptions through your Amazon account settings

DAZN timing is the part that trips people up - especially on monthly plans.

• Monthly Flexible plan: Cancellation triggers a 30-day notice period, starting on the day you cancel. Your access usually continues during that notice period.
• Annual (including Annual – Pay Monthly): Your subscription remains active (and payments can continue, if you’re paying monthly installments) until the end of the 12-month term. Cancelling usually means you’re stopping the next renewal, not ending the current term early.
• Trials: If you joined via a trial offer, cancel before the trial ends to avoid rolling into a paid subscription.

Tip: If you want DAZN to end by a specific date, cancel at least 30 days before that date (for Monthly Flexible). Don’t wait until the last day if you’re trying to avoid another charge.

DAZN generally doesn’t add a separate “cancellation fee,” but you may still see charges related to how your plan works.

• Monthly Flexible (30-day notice):
  You may see a final charge after cancelling to cover the remainder of your notice period. This can be a pro-rata (partial) charge depending on when you cancel relative to your usual billing date.

• Annual plans:
  DAZN typically doesn’t refund unused months if you stop using the service early. The “cost” is effectively the remainder of the term you committed to.

• If you subscribed via Apple/Google/Amazon:
  Final billing and end dates depend on the platform’s subscription rules and timing.

Important: don’t cancel your payment method first as a way to cancel. That can create failed payments, account issues, and disputes. Always cancel through the proper subscription settings.
