Can you cancel your Chefgood subscription? Check eligibility and conditions
Chefgood runs a flexible weekly subscription with no lock-in contracts, so you can pause or cancel at any time. There’s no minimum term, and no “tenure” requirement to be eligible.
Here are the key conditions to understand before you cancel:
- No lock-in, cancel anytime: You can stop your meal plan permanently (cancel) or temporarily (pause) whenever you like.
- Cut-off timing matters: Your cancellation only prevents future deliveries if you action it before the weekly cut-off time shown in your account.
- Orders past cut-off still go ahead: If your next delivery has already passed cut-off (already being prepared/processed), that delivery will still be charged and delivered, and your cancellation will apply from the following week.
- Try-one-week is fine: If you only want one week of meals, you can do that - just remember to cancel or pause immediately after your first order if you don’t want it to renew.
- Self-managed model: Chefgood is designed to be managed in your dashboard week-by-week, so you stay in control.
How to cancel a Chefgood subscription, service or order
Chefgood cancellation is usually quickest through your online dashboard.
Cancel via your dashboard
- Log in to your Chefgood account dashboard.
- Go to Manage Plans (this is where your active plan(s) appear).
- Select Cancel Plans (or choose Pause Delivery if you only want a break).
- Choose the specific plan(s) you want to cancel (if you have more than one).
- Confirm and submit the cancellation.
- Look for a confirmation message on-screen and a confirmation email for your records.
Cancel via support (if you prefer help or something isn’t working)
If you can’t access the dashboard or want assistance, contact Chefgood support and ask them to cancel your plan. Make sure you do this before cut-off.
After you cancel, log back into your dashboard and confirm your plan shows as cancelled/inactive so there are no future orders generated.
How long does a Chefgood cancellation take?
Chefgood works on a weekly schedule, and the weekly cut-off is the key deadline.
- Cancel before cut-off to stop the next delivery: Your exact cut-off time is shown in your dashboard (and often displayed on your menu page when logged in).
- Cut-off varies by region: Different states/areas can have different cut-off times, so rely on the time shown in your account.
- Cancel after cut-off = one more delivery: If you cancel after cut-off, the next order is usually already locked in (ingredients purchased, meals being prepared), so it will still be delivered and charged.
- Rule of thumb: If you’re thinking of cancelling, do it a few days before delivery - and always before the cut-off time listed.
Chefgood cancellation fees and final charges – what to expect
- No cancellation fees: Chefgood doesn’t charge a penalty for cancelling.
- No lock-in penalties: You won’t be charged an “exit fee” or admin fee to end your plan.
- Possible final charge: If you cancel after the cut-off, you may still be charged for the next order because it’s already been processed. This isn’t a fee, it’s the normal weekly charge for the box that’s already locked in.
- Promotions: If you cancel and rejoin later, you may not be eligible for the same promo deal you previously had (not a fee, but worth knowing).

Consumer experiences with Chefgood cancellations
Auto-renewal surprise: Some customers don’t realise the first order starts an ongoing weekly plan, and only notice after the next box is already past cut-off.
Missed cut-off frustration: Customers who try to cancel after cut-off often find the next order can’t be stopped (and isn’t refundable), which feels annoying if they only wanted a one-off trial.
Pause vs cancel confusion: Some people pause for a week thinking it’s “done,” then the plan resumes the next cycle. If you want to stop permanently, choose Cancel, not Pause.
