Audible Australia (Audible.com.au) allows you to cancel your membership at any time, with no minimum term or lock-in contract for standard memberships. This applies to monthly plans, annual plans, and free trials.

Key conditions to be aware of:

• Cancel anytime: You can cancel whenever you choose, including during a free trial or after a single billing period.
• Cancel via the correct platform:
  
  • If you subscribed directly via Audible/Amazon, cancel through your Audible account on the website.
  • If you subscribed via Apple App Store or Google Play, you must cancel through Apple or Google subscription settings. Audible cannot cancel app-store billed subscriptions for you.
• No cancellation penalties: Audible does not charge fees for cancelling.
• Purchased audiobooks stay yours: Cancelling your membership does not delete your account or remove audiobooks you’ve purchased or redeemed with credits. You keep permanent access to those titles.
• Credits expire on cancellation: Any unused Audible credits are forfeited when your membership ends. Credits have no cash value, so it’s strongly recommended you use them before cancelling.
• Audible vs Amazon Prime: Cancelling Audible does not affect Amazon Prime or other Amazon services.

The cancellation steps depend on how you signed up.

If you subscribed directly via Audible (recommended method)

1. Go to https://www.audible.com.au and sign in using your Amazon account.
2. Click your name in the top-right corner and select Account Details.
3. Find your membership section and click Cancel membership.
4. Follow the on-screen prompts (Audible may offer alternatives like pausing).
5. Confirm cancellation and watch for the confirmation message and email.
6. Your account will show that your membership will end at the end of the current billing cycle.

⚠️ Note: You cannot cancel directly inside the Audible mobile app. Use a desktop or mobile web browser.

If you subscribed via Apple (iPhone / iPad)

1. Open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
2. Select Audible.
3. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
4. Apple will email a cancellation confirmation.

If you subscribed via Google Play (Android)

1. Open the Google Play Store.
2. Tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
3. Select Audible.
4. Tap Cancel subscription and confirm.

Cancelling via Customer Support (optional)

Audible Australia offers 24/7 customer support. You can cancel via:

• Phone: 1800 736 910 (Australia)

Support agents can cancel your membership immediately if requested.

• When cancellation takes effect: Your membership remains active until the end of your current billing cycle, then stops.
• Avoiding the next charge: Cancel before your renewal date. Cancelling one to two days early is safest.
• Free trial deadline: Cancel before the final day of your trial to avoid being charged.
• Annual plans: Cancelling mid-year stops renewal but does not shorten access.
• Credits deadline: Any unused credits must be used before your membership period ends, or they will expire.
• Confirmation: Audible sends an email confirmation shortly after cancellation. Always check your account status.

• No cancellation fees: Audible does not charge exit or termination fees.
• No admin or notice fees: Cancelling is free.
• Final billing: If a renewal has already processed, that charge is not refunded.
• Credits are non-refundable: Unused credits expire when membership ends.
• No account maintenance fees: You can keep an Audible account without an active membership at no cost.
