Amaysim offers no-lock-in contracts, giving you full flexibility to cancel any time:

• No Minimum Contract:
  Whether prepaid (28-day renewals) or postpaid, you can cancel at any moment without penalty.
  
  
• Auto-Renew or One-Off:
  Easily disable auto-renew to naturally let your plan expire at the end of your current period.
  
  
• Immediate Cancellation:
  Immediate termination is available through customer support, but you'll lose any remaining prepaid days or data.
  
  
• Number Porting:
  If you want to retain your number when switching providers, don't cancel directly. Porting your number will automatically cancel your Amaysim service safely.
  
  
• Prepaid vs Postpaid:
  No cancellation fee, but prepaid plans forfeit remaining days. Postpaid users still pay the full billing cycle.
  
  
• Add-ons & Roaming Packs:
  Add-ons like roaming packs are non-refundable if unused. Disable add-ons easily to prevent future charges.

Always port your number first if you want to keep it. Direct cancellation forfeits your phone number.

Cancellation is straightforward:

If Switching Providers (Keeping Your Number):

1. Choose a New Provider:
   Request number porting with your new provider using your Amaysim details.
   
   
2. Wait for Porting Completion:
   Usually done within minutes or hours. Your Amaysim account automatically cancels once the port is complete.
   
   
3. Check for Final Invoice:
   Postpaid users may get a final bill within two months for delayed usage charges.
   
   

If Cancelling Without Porting:

1. Turn Off Auto-Renew:
   Log in via My Amaysim or app, toggle off auto-renew, and let the plan expire naturally.
   
   
2. Immediate Cancellation (optional):
   Contact support via live chat, phone (1300 808 300), or email (service@amaysim.com.au) to cancel instantly.
   
   
3. Confirm Cancellation:
   Expect an email confirmation. Service termination is immediate or same-day.
   
   

Important Tip:
Download important voicemails or messages before cancelling, as your SIM will deactivate immediately.

Cancellation timelines are flexible:

• Number Porting:
  Typically takes minutes to hours during business days. Your Amaysim account cancels immediately upon port completion.
  
  
• Immediate Cancellation:
  Processed instantly upon contacting Amaysim support. No notice period required.
  
  
• Service Expiry After Auto-Renew Disabled:
  Your plan transitions to Pay As You Go (inactive if no credit). After 90 days inactive, service may suspend; after 365 days, your number is permanently recycled.
  
  
• Postpaid Final Billing:
  If cancelling mid-cycle on postpaid, you'll owe the full monthly fee. No pro-rata refunds.

Cancel or port just before your next auto-renewal to maximise your prepaid plan’s value.
