? Avoid the runaround.

You can cancel any 1Password subscription (Individual, Families, Teams, or Business) at any time, with no cancellation fees. Even mid-cycle, you retain full access until the end of your current billing term. After that, your account becomes read-only, so your vault and passwords are still accessible, just not editable.

There’s no refund for unused time, and if you signed up via Apple or Google, you must cancel through those platforms, not directly on 1Password’s site. Business users managed by an admin may need to request cancellation through their account manager. But for most users, cancellation is completely self-service.

The best part? Your data stays safe. Cancelling won’t delete your vault or content, so you can come back or export passwords whenever needed.

Cancelling is straightforward:

1. Sign in at 1Password.com with your email and master password.
2. Go to “Billing” from your account sidebar.
3. Scroll and click “Cancel Subscription” (it might be hidden below the Save button).
4. Confirm the cancellation when prompted.
5. You’ll receive confirmation and remain active until your paid term ends.

If you subscribed via Apple or Google Play, cancel through your iOS or Android subscription settings instead - 1Password can’t cancel those for you.

• Paid Plans: Cancel anytime, and you’ll keep full access until your current cycle ends.

Miss the deadline? The renewal charge is not refundable, even if you contact support. Set a calendar reminder to cancel a few days before your next bill to be safe.

No hidden fees, no early termination charges. When you cancel:

• You’ll keep access until your billing period ends.
• You won’t be refunded for unused time.
• No extra fees will be added after cancellation.
• Any account credits stay available for future use, but aren’t refunded as cash.
