Customer complains about toyota service center not rotating tires as promised and wants a refund for the service.
My car was serviced by Torque Toyota North Lakes Qld on15/08/2023 it has always been serviced at a Toyota Service Centre. about August The service report states they inspected the condition of all tyres ,including spare also carried out rotation and balance of tyres, put best tyres to front of car checked all ok, for which I was charged $40.91. On 16/01/2024 I got a flat tyre and called RACQ to fix it. When the serviceman came and looked at tyres he asked me when I last had car serviced, I responded August/ September he said look at these front tyres they have not been rotated in a very long time, definitely not in that time frame. The tyres were completely smooth on the inside and he said the tyres were towing in.He then got the spare out of the boot and it was completely flat he had a machine in his vehicle and pumped it up. On 16/01/2024 I went to local tyrepower to have flat repaired and asked him to check the tyres for me, his opinion was same as RACQ serviceman that they had not been rotated in a very long time and I needed 5 new tyres and wheel alinement. He gave me a written report on the condition of tyres. I contacted Michelle at Torque Toyota on 8/02/2024 to let her know I was unhappy with the service as I trusted Toyota to do the right thing and let me know if new tyres were needed also to do the job they charged me for. She said she would have service manager call me, which he did on 9/02/2024 and proceeded to tell me he trusted his men to do the right job and it was my fault the tyres were as they were as it was 6 months since the service and I must have hit a pothole. A pothole does not cause the wear that was on the tyres (I only travel about 100klms or less per week). I would like a refund for the service I was charged for and did not receive after his rude attitude.
