Customer seeks refund for brand new honda mower with multiple failures, vendor and honda refuse, causing inconvenience and additional expenses.
I purchased a brand new "top of the line" Honda mower ($1,900) from General Mowers & Power Equipment Loganholme on the 7th March 2024. I use the mower for 1 hour when the self-propelled function failed with screeching metal. I returned the unit to the vendor (this was a first use failure under consumer laws). I said it was brand new, so swap it for another one in the shop (I didn't know about refunds). He said he could not as Honda require him the repair any failure. I eft him with it but did not hear back for a week, When I called him, he said it was a transmission failure and he would order a new one. No contact for another ten days so I rang again - he had fixed the transmission, but the mower was now under a recall for a cam decompressor issue. I waited another week and spoke with the company (Nick). He now told me there was a problem with the cylinder and he would have to get more parts. I told him I was upset and would contact Honda and he agreed that I should do so. I rang Honda (Ken 10/05/24) and explained the situation - he advised me of the first use failure, was aware of the recall but didn't understand the cylinder issue. I said I would prefer a refund rather than repair. He said he would contact the company, and "those above him" to see what could be done and get back to me in 1-2 days. No response so I rang Ken again 16/05/2024. He was on the phone and would ring back in 10mins. I ended up ringing Ken again. He advised that they would repair the mower but not offer a refund. Again I stated my disappointment as I bought a brand new mower and was going to receive a decidedly secondhand unit in return. I also stated that due to all the repairs and the time taken, I have had to pay a mowing company multiple times to look after my lawn. He said he would try again and phone me back.................

Honda car exploded, seeking compensation and apology, escalate matter due to insincere response and lack of empathy.
My mother’s Honda car exploded in the first week of January 2024 whilst it was off. She was just in the car 10 mins prior to this happening. She reached out to Honda at the end of January regarding this as it was very confusing why this happened and if there were issues with the car why it wasn’t brought up during the regular services with Honda. My mother suffered many emotional, physical and financial costs as a result of this incident and the response received from Honda was so bafflingly insincere and lacked any empathy or sympathy. I have asked Honda for our matter to be escalated and the extreme delay for such a serious issue shows how Honda is not taking this seriously. Extremely baffling and disgusting the way Honda is treating this matter.

Customer frustrated with honda online service booking and dealership communication, seeking resolution and apology.
The Honda on line service booking service is useless, it doesn’t work. When I finally got onto a human at one of your dealerships he agreed that it was useless but individual dealerships had no control over this. Ringing the dealership is not much better. They were too busy to take my call but promised to call ack. They didn’t ring back of course. How do you suggest I have my car serviced if you can’t or don’t want to do it!

Misleading conduct regarding service plan, damage to vehicle, excessive fuel consumption after service.
When we initially purchased the vehicle from the Honda dealer, they assured us that it came with a capped service plan for the first 7 years, priced at $312 including GST. However, over time, the price began to fluctuate and eventually we were informed that this feature was not included in our purchase. Furthermore, the services were not carried out according to the dealer's recommendations. Instead, we had to service the vehicle approximately 10,000kms earlier than scheduled. When we raised this concern with the dealer, they attributed it to the fact that our car was primarily driven in the city rather than on long trips, which supposedly necessitated more frequent servicing. However, at the time of purchase, they had assured us that the car would only require servicing every 10,000kms or 12 months. Our service history clearly contradicts this claim, indicating that the dealer engaged in misleading conduct solely to sell the vehicle.<br /><br />Subsequently, we encountered an issue when we took the vehicle in for a service approximately 1 year ago. Upon its return, we discovered that our car had been damaged. We possess a dash cam, and when we attempted to retrieve the footage capturing the damage caused by the dealer, we found that it had been deleted. We have evidence of the dealer deleting the footage while the vehicle was in their possession. When we questioned them about this, they justified it by stating that they only keep footage of them servicing the car. However, this explanation is clearly false, as they had never attempted to delete dash cam footage during previous services. Despite our grievances, the dealer denied any wrongdoing and made no effort to rectify their actions.<br /><br />Currently, we are experiencing issues with excessive fuel consumption following the most recent service, particularly when the air is turned on in the car. I am not referring to the air conditioning, but simply the circulation of air. When the car is in idle position, the engine revs at around 10,000 rpm, and the average fuel consumption continues to rise rapidly. A video I recorded demonstrates that the fuel consumption increases from 36.8L/100km at 1:12pm to 59.6L/100km at 1:30pm on the same day, all while the car remains idle and the outside temperature is 19 degrees.

Customer experiencing sensor faults in honda car, break assist activating by itself while driving, seeking resolution for safety concerns.
My car has had sensor faults since purchasing in 2021, front right sensor is always going off sporadically. I have told my local dealer this, and during servicing have told me they can find no fault. I now have video footage of it doing it. I also experienced the break assist being set off by itself with no need while obviously driving, I don't know if the 2 are related but I no longer feel safe driving this car on the road with the breaks suddenly slamming with no warning or control.
