Customer experienced long wait, faulty vehicle display, and tire issues during rental. requesting credit for wasted time on family vacation.
Hello, I am writing in regards to the car rental from dates May 23-28. Initially, when we arrived to pick up the car, we waited almost 1 hour for an agent. Other car rental agencies were processing customers at a much fast rate. Once we were given our rental and loaded our luggage, we quickly noticed that the vehicles’ display was not working. We notified the attendant and asked for another vehicle. We were given another vehicle which seemed to be OK at the time. Shortly into the drive, the low tire pressure kept coming on. We filled the tire a few times, but found that it wouldn’t keep the correct pressure. After calling roadside service, we were instructed to go to a tire service center in Flagstaff, Arizona which was the closest approved center to where we were. We now had to wait a few hours for the tire to be fixed before getting back to our vacation. Needless to say, our rental experience was less than ideal, resulting in hours wasted during a family vacation. I am requesting a credit towards this rental to compensate for the trouble we had. Refer case number 662053030<br />After regularly emailing and phoning Avis Customer Service for New Zealand (based in the Philippines) for over two months concerning an over charge of a rental van in Italy, we simply do not know where to go from here. Please can you send to us an email address /phone number of a someone who can actually assist in resolving this.<br /><br />Initially our credit card had an amount of NZD $3698.07 pending. After returning the vehicle eight days later, this amount was reversed and NZD$8769.03 was deducted. We have been overcharged by more than NZD $5000 <br />After several emails and phone calls we seem to be making no progress. A copy of an invoice was emailed to us last week which the first time we have seen this. I sent a response on Sunday, outlining several queries we have with this invoice as it is very inaccurate.<br />Our travel agent has also emailed Customer Service and sent copies of the original quote which was more than NZD $5000<br />less than what we were charged.<br />I want to have an email address and phone number of someone more senior than the people I have been talking to. <br /><br />I have even been on-line to begin a booking exactly the same as ours and the costs align with what we were originally expecting.
